Department of Anatomy

The Department of ANATOMY was inaugurated on February 2021 with 150 MBBS students. As per CBME curriculum, after completing the foundation course we started our routine Anatomy classes to the students. Our department is full fledged with highly experienced, capable and motivated faculties. In addition to imparing professional knowledge, the department also takes an active role in the AETCOM modules of the students.
Our students are highly engaged in academic activities like lecture classes and dissection of human cadavers. Other than routine events, our students are presenting regular seminars for every region and they are attending the MCQ session for every classes everyday. Students have regular clinical anatomy classes and they will be able to correlate with regular early clinical exposure session with our hospital.
We have the Departmental MUSEUM with adequate number of specimens. In the dissection hall, we have adequate number of cadavers for the students and also the students are motivated to do the dissection and we guide them to participate in research work and also various competitions. We have the histology lab and we demonstrate the micro anatomy of the various organs and its structure with functions and correlate the clinical histology. We have the Research lab with Microtome and all the equipments and chemicals.

We embalm registered donor’s bodies and also unknown ,unclaimed bodies received from mortuary.

Till now we have registered 59 volunteers for body donation . Regularly we do an Awareness programme about the VOLUNTARY BODY DONATION

We also motive and guide the students for ICMR projects and other researches. So our students have done the following research topics so far.
