Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCHK) is one of the best government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. Government Medical College Krishnagiri is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai and it was established in 2021. The campus is situated in Polupalli, Krishnagiri – near the banks of river Thenpennaiyar, with the serene backdrop of Melumalai hills, on the National Highway connecting Kanyakumari and Bengaluru.

GMCH Krishnagiri offers quality medical programs under highly qualified faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. This College provides a good ratio of well-trained and highly educated faculty members equipped with modern technology. With an annual intake of 150 MBBS seats, the institution also serves as a postgraduation center for 2 seats of DNB (Emergency Medicine) and offers a Diploma in Medical Lab Technician (DMLT) course with 24 seats.
